Diego Cruz Vidal, MD, is a Pediatrics Resident at Nationwide Children’s Hospital. He received his medical degree at Universidad del Valle at Cali, Colombia and completed his residency in Pediatrics, served as a chief resident at Hospital Universitario del Valle / Universidad del Valle in Colombia, he then worked as an Attending pediatrician in the same Hospital before relocating to Columbus, Ohio where he completed his Fellowship in Pediatric Infectious Diseases at Nationwide Children's Hospital.
His research focuses on understanding the dynamics of the immune response in the setting of severe infections as a member of the Immune Surveillance Laboratory at The Research Institute at Nationwide Children’s Hospital in the Center for Clinical and Translational Research. His additional clinical and research interests include infections in the immunocompromised host and medical education.
