William Otto, MD, MSCE is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Pediatrics at the University of Cincinnati College of Medicine and the Division of Infectious Diseases at Cincinnati Children's Hospital Medical Center. His clinical work focuses on care of immunocompromised children in both the inpatient wards and outpatient clinics. His research focuses on better defining the epidemiology of infections in oncology patients, particularly patients with hematologic malignancies, and improving supportive care practices for those patients. Dr. Otto's primary research involves dynamically predicting bloodstream infections in patients with acute myeloid leukemia in order to better inform clinical management of those patients.
