Dr. Homeyer completed residency and fellowship at the San Antonio Uniformed Services Health Education Consortium (SAUSHEC) and deployed in support of Operation Iraqi Freedom, serving as an intensivist and Chair of Infection Prevention and Control at Balad Air Force Theater Hospital. Dr. Homeyer is active in Medical Education and GME, serving previously as clerkship site director, IM APD and currently as the Transitional Year Program Director at BAMC where her research interests are professional identity formation and improving diagnosis in culture negative infections.
