Paul McGovern, M.D. is the Senior V.P. Medical Sciences at Venatorx Pharmaceuticals. Dr. McGovern has spent 17 years in anti-infective pharmaceutical development at Wyeth Pharmaceuticals / Pfizer, Actelion Clinical Research, Paratek Pharmaceuticals, and Venatorx Pharmaceuticals. Dr. McGovern has a B.S. from the University of Notre Dame and a M.D. from Northwestern University. He completed an Internal Medicine Residency and Infectious Diseases Fellowship at the University of Pennsylvania. Following the completion of his medical training, Dr. McGovern was a faculty member at the University of Pennsylvania prior to joining Wyeth Pharmaceuticals in 2006.
