Helen Xu (she/her) is an undergraduate student at Duke University double majoring in biology and computer science. She studies novel interferon-gamma release assays for diagnosing latent talaromycosis, an infection caused by the fungus Talaromyces marneffei that is endemic in Southeast Asia, in the Le Lab and aspires to pursue a research oriented career in medicine.
