Clinical Research Scientist
BioFire Defense, LLC
Salt Lake City, UT, United States
My graduate and post-doctoral work focused on the effects of age and disease on muscle function with a focus on how muscle stem cells affect overall health. My graduate work provided evidence for drug therapeutic interventions for mitigating muscle weakness that occurs in women at menopause. My post-doctoral work led to a paradigm shift in the understanding of the cellular dynamic processes that occur to regenerate a complex three-dimensional tissue.
I started working with BioFire Defense in 2022 as a Clinical Research Scientist, where I have been able to utilize my clinical experience to lead the design and management of clinical validations to support regulatory submissions of IVD products. As part of the regulatory department at BioFire Defense, I also assist with design and management of analytical validations, as well as communication with government and funding agencies.
I do not have any relevant financial / non-financial relationships with any proprietary interests.
